This NJ motorcycle route around Wharton State Forest has nice New Jersey country scenery, including Ocean Spray's Cranberry Bogs. It's also light on traffic, which makes it a quiet, relaxing, fairly non-technical ride. There are also a few long stretches to open up a bit on.

Farmland, rolling hills, and scenic overlooks are all included on this New Jersey motorcycle ride along the northwest region of the state. Savor the incredible view of Water Gap as you pass through Harmony Township. Overall, the road is a peaceful experience, which gently winds along, offering a relaxing motorcycle ride.

This motorcycle ride in New Jersey offers a scenic route to get away from the suburban sprawl of northeastern New Jersey and out to the open roads. This loop winds around the Wanaque Reservoir and around numerous state parks. There's great scenery with woods and trees on both sides, with even some mountain views. You'll ride over lots of steep uphills and downhills with twisties. There's also numerous trail along this route, if you want to venture out and stretch your legs.

For a beautiful NJ motorcycle ride just outside of New York City, check out this route from Frenchtown, NJ to Chester, NJ on County Rd 513. Some of New Jersey's best scenery is on this motorcycle route which features rolling terrain-rivers and streams at many points. There's also rock outcroppings, pastures, horse country and various valleys along the way. Traffic is usually minimal in this area, which makes navigating the twisties and straights that much more enjoyable.

COUNTY RD 521
DISTANCE: 21 miles
TIME: 30 min
Just east of the Delaware Water Gap region is County Road 521. Start this motorcycle road in Blairstown, NJ past the Swartswood Lake and up around the Bear Swamp Wildlife Management Area. The road pavement quality is very good as you ride along the gentle turns in the northwest corner of New Jersey. There's some nice open farmland as well as more forested areas. For a longer loop ride, take Route 206 east and connect to the above-mentioned Route 519.

ROUTE 94

DISTANCE: 44 miles
TIME: 1 hour, 15 min
The Delaware Water Gap area offers some of the best motorcycle riding in New Jersey. Another excellent route is NJ-94 from Columbia all the way to the New York state line. The ride will take a little over an hour depending on traffic, but you'll ride along mostly gentle turns and straights. The road will get more wooded as you ride north trough the Wawayanda Park region. Continue past the state line to ride on our favorite New York motorcycle roads in Harriman State Park.
